Our day begins with a morning tea at the Gawler Visitors Centre, a welcoming spot to enjoy a break and gather insights about the region’s attractions.

Refreshed, we continue to Waikerie, where a delicious lunch awaits at the local bakery, known for its freshly baked delights.

After lunch, we’ll make a brief stop in Renmark, offering a chance to stretch our legs and enjoy the charming views of this river town.

Our travel culminates in Mildura, where we check into the Chaffey International Motor Inn (03) 5023 5833, our accommodation for the next three nights.

Here, we’ll settle in and later convene for dinner, enjoying the local cuisine and hospitality that makes Mildura a memorable stop on our tour.

Day Two – TUESDAY 25 MARCH 2025

We start our second day on tour with a nourishing breakfast, setting us up for a day full of exploration.

Our morning begins with a guided tour of Mildura, hosted by Discover Mildura Tours, where we delve into the rich history and vibrant culture of this charming town.

Following the town tour, we enjoy our morning tea before heading to the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. Here, we are treated to a guided tour showcasing the diverse plant life and landscapes, topped off with a delightful lunch amid the botanical beauty.

Our afternoon is a treat for the senses at Orange World. This unique attraction offers an insightful tour of the citrus orchards and a tasting session, where we’ll sample fresh, juicy oranges directly from the orchard. This experience not only tantalizes the taste buds but also enriches our understanding of local agricultural practices.

After an enriching day, we return to our accommodation at the Chaffey International Motor Inn, where we conclude the day with a pleasant dinner in the dining room.

Post-cruise, we visit the Rio Vista House and Mildura Arts Centre. Rio Vista House, originally the home of W.B. Chaffey, one of Mildura’s founding brothers, now serves as a museum showcasing period décor and artifacts that tell the story of the region’s early affluent lifestyle. Adjacent to it, the Mildura Arts Centre offers a vibrant cultural hub with a rich program of exhibitions, performances, and visual arts, set in a stunning building with expansive galleries.

In the afternoon, we have free time to explore Mildura’s main shopping area, perfect for picking up souvenirs or enjoying a casual stroll through the vibrant streets.
