Your Itinerary
DAY 1 | Sunday 20 April 2026 | Welcome to Sydney
Your Sydney theatre experience begins with morning flights from Adelaide to Sydney. Upon arrival at Sydney Airport around midday, you’ll be warmly greeted by your tour guide who will transfer you to a delightful harbourside yacht or sailing club for lunch. Enjoying waterfront dining with sparkling harbour views provides the perfect introduction to Sydney’s maritime character and relaxed coastal lifestyle. Following lunch, depending on your dining location, you may experience Sydney’s iconic ferry system as you travel across the harbour to Parramatta, offering spectacular perspectives of the harbour foreshore and waterfront suburbs from the water. We then transfer to PARKROYAL Parramatta (02 9689 3333), your comfortable and conveniently located home for the next two nights. Situated alongside the Parramatta River, this modern hotel provides an ideal Western Sydney base. After checking in and settling into your accommodation, the group gathers for dinner, offering the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers and build anticipation for tomorrow evening’s spectacular theatrical performance.
DAY 2 | Monday 21 April 2026 | Taronga Zoo & The Lion King
After breakfast, we journey to Taronga Zoo, Sydney’s premier zoological park spectacularly positioned on elevated harbourside land offering stunning views across to the Opera House and city skyline. You’ll have free time to explore the zoo’s extensive grounds, home to over 4,000 animals from around the world, including Australian natives like koalas, kangaroos, and platypus, alongside exotic species from Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Morning tea is provided during your visit, and lunch is enjoyed at your leisure within the zoo’s dining facilities. Following your wildlife experience, we return to the hotel, allowing time to freshen up and rest before this evening’s theatrical highlight. An early light dinner is served at the hotel before we depart for the Capitol Theatre. This magnificently restored 1920s theatre, with its ornate interiors and excellent acoustics, provides the perfect setting for Disney’s The Lion King. The 7:00pm performance brings the Pride Lands to life through stunning puppetry, elaborate costumes, and Elton John’s unforgettable score, creating theatrical magic that has captivated audiences worldwide. Following the performance, we return to our accommodation, where you can reflect on an extraordinary day combining wildlife encounters with world-class theatrical artistry.
DAY 3 | Tuesday 22 April 2026 | Australian Museum & Departure
After breakfast, we visit the Australian Museum, Australia’s oldest museum and a leading institution for natural history and cultural research. Your self-guided exploration reveals extensive collections spanning Indigenous Australian cultures, Pacific Island heritage, mineralogy, palaeontology, and zoology. From dinosaur skeletons to precious gemstones, from Indigenous artifacts to contemporary exhibitions, the museum provides fascinating insights into Australia’s natural and cultural heritage. Following your museum visit, we enjoy lunch at a harbourside boat or sailing club, offering one final opportunity to savour Sydney’s waterfront dining and maritime atmosphere. We then transfer to Sydney Airport for afternoon flights back to Adelaide, where you’ll arrive home with wonderful memories of theatrical magic, harbour beauty, and Sydney experiences shared with newfound friends.
